The building is old, but I enjoyed the exhibition of works by woodworkers working in Iiyama. It is also connected to a library and is probably a familiar place for Iiyama citizens.

It is a complex facility with a library. The permanent exhibition is decorated with the works of several painters. It was good to be able to see different types of works at the special exhibition.

地元ゆかりの作家の企画展を開催することが多いと聞きます。
画像は私が訪ねた２０１９年１０月２７日のものです。
この日は開催されている「木原正徳展」（会期２０１９年９月１日～１１月４日）を鑑賞しました。
台風１９号の爪痕も生々しく、美術館と廊下で隔てられた向かいにある公民館は避難所になっている状況でした。
一階と中二階のギャラリーに大作が大量に展示されていて、非常に見応えがあり、台風が来なければ、もっと話題となり、沢山の人が訪れていたと思います。
ギャラリーの上の階には伝統産業会館となっていて、長野県の伝統工芸品の展示も見られます。
※周囲には製材所か木工所のような工場や、「ふるさと館」などの施設もあり、興味をそそられる場所が沢山あります。ホームページなどをチェックしつつ機会を作ってまた来たいと思える場所です。

On this day, we enjoyed the "Masato Kihara Exhibition" (September 1, 2019-November 4, 2019).
The claws of Typhoon No. 19 were also vivid, and the public hall opposite the museum separated by a corridor had become an evacuation center.
A large number of big works were exhibited in the galleries on the first floor and the mezzanine floor, which were very spectacular. If the typhoon did not come, it would have become more talked about and many people would have visited.
On the upper floor of the gallery is the Traditional Industry Hall, where you can see exhibits of traditional crafts from Nagano Prefecture.
* There are many factories around the area, such as sawmills and woodworking factories, and facilities such as "Furusatokan". It is a place where you can check the website and make an opportunity to come back again.
