★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 県道2号沿いの行方市麻生に鎮座する神社。地元住民からは親しみを込めて【大宮様】と呼ばれている。貝塚や土器が出土するこの地は古くは『常陸国風土紀』で【麻生の里】と詠まれ、水辺に竹の様な太い麻が茂り、野馬の産地であったと伝えれている。
大麻神社の開基は大同元年（806年）と伝えられ、祭神は武甕槌命、経津主命、手力男命、大宮姫命、倉稲魂命、市杵島姫命、水速女命の七柱である。当時征夷大将軍【坂上田村麻呂】が蝦夷遠征の戦勝祈願の為に北関東各地に神社を寄進しており、この地にも武勇の神を祀ったものと考えられている。中世には麻生氏（常陸大掾庶流）、江戸時代には近江国から赴任した外様の新庄氏（麻生藩）の庇護を受け、今尚地域の信仰を集めている。

It is said that the opening of the Oshima Shrine was the first year of Daido (806), and the gods of the festival were Takemitsu Hamura, Keitsu Chief, Handiman, Hime Omiya, Inakura Kurama, Hime Ichikishima and Hime Ichiki. It is seven pillars. At the time, the Shogun General Shoro [Sakaue Tamura Maro] donated shrines in various parts of the northern Kanto region to pray for victory over the Ezo expedition, and it is believed that this place also enshrined the god of bravery. In the Middle Ages, he received the patronage of Mr. Aso (Hitachi Ohsakuryu) and Mr. Shinjo (Aso clan) who was transferred from Omi Province in the Edo period, and still gathers local faith.
