★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 長野県麻績村〔旅籠屋花屋〕の角地に屏風の形をした芭蕉句碑（更科紀行の碑）が建っている。

身にしみて大根からし秋の風
ひょろひょろとなほ露けしやをみなへし
碑は昭和３６年（１９６１）に建立された。刻まれている句は２句ともに貞享５年（１６８８）の作（〔更科紀行〕所載）。更科紀行の説明板も掲げられているが、古くなっており読みづらかった。前の通りは〔善光寺街道〕で、向かい側は旧本陣〔中橋臼井家〕。松代藩士が宿泊、この〔旅籠屋花屋〕にも分宿したと伝わる。

The monument was erected in 1961. Both phrases are engraved in 1688 by Sadayoshi 5 (reprinted by Sarashina Noriyuki). There is also an explanation board for the Sarashina noriyuki, but it was too old to read. The street in front is Zenkoji Kaido, and the opposite side is the former Honjin (Nakahashi Usui family). It is said that Eiji Matsushiro has stayed at this hotel, and has stayed at this [Tabiyoya Florist].
