It is believed that the Nukada Castle has become an abandoned castle. The total area is the largest in Ibaraki prefecture and the scale of the remains is huge. The outer wall is a residential area, but if you look carefully, you will find a dirt fence and a moat. Honmaru and Ninomaru are well preserved and you can observe the castle that was used until the Warring States period.

After Yoshimori of the Satake Soryo family died, he adopted Ryuhomaru (Yoshinori), the second son of Uesugi Kensetsu, and married Yoshimori's daughter. The second generation of Onozaki was adopted by Mr. Edo, and Hikosaburo Tsuei became the lord of the castle. After that, Mr. Onozaki continued for seven generations until Terumichi, and until he was destroyed by Yoshinobu Satake in 1591, he ruled Kakuda for 170 years for seven generations.
