It's good to be close to the station, the staff are kind and polite, and in a good way it was a very friendly shop with a nice atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 安心のブランドなので、利用するにあたって特に問題はありません。店舗の前の道路は、京都駅とつながっているので左折のみになるので注意が必要ですが、ちゃんと説明があるので安心です。
As it is a safe brand, there is no particular problem in using it. The road in front of the store is connected to Kyoto Station, so you need to be careful as you can only turn left, but you can rest assured that there is a proper explanation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 受付の女性の方があからさまに態度悪かったです。中学の息子でさえ方言強くて(たかが京都で)で偉そう。態度悪かったよね?と心配して出発時にわざわざ聞いてきてくれました。その女性の方は車両の傷を確認する人(スタッフ同士)異性の方に対してはむちゃくちゃ優しかったです。何かこちらがしたのでしょうか?それとも男、女で態度が普通に違う方なのでしょうか?男性スタッフの方はまだ普通で少し救われました…。残念の一言です。日本レンターカー京都センターのが断然に良ったです!!
The lady at the reception was obviously ill-mannered. Even my son in junior high school has a strong dialect (in Kyoto) and looks great. You had a bad attitude, right? I was worried and asked me when I left. The woman was insanely kind to the person of the opposite sex (staff) who confirmed the scratches on the vehicle. Did something happen here? Or are they men and women who have different attitudes? The male staff was still normal and saved a little ... It's a pity. The Japanese rental car Kyoto Center was by far the best! !!

The manager Mr. Okamura, called on behave of the company and personally apologized for the companies mistake. Because of his professionalism I bring the star rating up. His training will hopefully improve the treatment of foreigners.
I book a car online several days before with a third party company. Once I arrive they denied me the car. I had my license, my international license, a credit card and anything else you would need to book. They just refused. After I asked why they said I was in Japan less then 3 months ago. So what! And? I have my wife (Japanese) and child here and I don’t see what that has to do with me renting a car for a day to take my family out to an amusement park. Not only did they ruin our trip. They gave my wife attitude when I was not there. No apology no nothing. I’m not Japanese. So maybe it’s a race issue?? Not sure but I don’t see anything else, since all my documents are valid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not foreigner friendly at all. I am used to rent cars in Japan but I had the worst experience with this agency. It took us 50 minutes in the morning to get our car whereas we were the first clients. The guy was unrespectful with me and my friend. Laughing at us like « you don’t have a Japan number and you think you can rent a car in Japan »(and the answer is yes we can, as long as we are able to reach any number in case of trouble) He was very condescendant. At the end we lost 50minutes of our reservation because he asked us so many things whereas usually agency manages papers in 10/15min.
