小学生の頃からそれこそ数え切れないほど遊んできた。
さすがに中学生くらいからは通わなくなったけれど、
それでもやっぱり休日になると
時々通り道のように公園の中を歩いて通るのが楽しみ。
公園を囲むコンクリートの敷居を何度歩いたことか。
公園を囲む大きな樹木に何度登ったことか。
すべり台やブランコで何度友だちと遊んだことだろう。
あれから３０年以上経過して
西町児童公園そのものも何度か行政の手が入って、
今では公園のド真ん中に美しい桜の木が何本か植えられた。
早咲きの桜が咲いて散る頃に遅咲きの八重桜が咲き始める。
花びらがしっかりしている？からか
なかなか散ることがなくて長期間見て楽しむことができる。
天気が良い休日には桜の樹の下にシートを敷いて
ママ友や家族連れがピクニックを楽しんでいる。
Nishimachi Children's Park is a 1-minute walk from the house.
