M	MASA 3 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東武伊勢崎線（東武スカイツリーライン）と大師線が乗り入れている、足立区内では大きな駅の1つです。西口は西新井アリオやパッサージオという商業施設や、西新井大師（最寄りは大師前）、池袋、赤羽、千住に向かうバスがあります。尚、東口はギャラクシティや住宅展示場等、結構地味な感じですかね。 2021年現在、西新井駅は建て替え工事を行っており、駅舎にあった各店舗（西新井トスカ西館、東武ストア西新井店等）は休業となっています。残った駅舎は錆びついており、なんだか廃墟感満載の感じで、これはこれで味があります。とはいえ、再開発の計画は、西新井・梅島・梅田・関原の４ブロックに分けて設計されているようで、どうなるものかと楽しみと大丈夫か？という心配が入り混じった感じですね。 It is one of the largest stations in Adachi Ward, where the Tobu Isesaki Line (Tobu Sky Tree Line) and the Daishi Line run. At the west exit, there are commercial facilities such as Nishiarai Ario and Passageo, and buses to Nishiarai Daishi (closest to Daishi-mae), Ikebukuro, Akabane, and Senju. By the way, the east exit is quite sober, such as Galaxcity and a housing exhibition hall. As of 2021, Nishiarai Station is undergoing reconstruction work, and each store in the station building (Nishiarai Tosca West Building, Tobu Store Nishiarai Store, etc.) is closed. The remaining station building is rusty, and it feels like it's full of ruins, which gives it a taste. However, the redevelopment plan seems to be divided into four blocks, Nishiarai, Umejima, Umeda, and Sekihara, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. It feels like a mixture of worries.
