If it weren't for the "lessons learned," Nanshu might have been buried because the statue couldn't be grasped. However, because Shonai people recorded it, we can take out and examine the ideas of Nanshu together today. Saigo was of course great, but the Shonai people who were drawn to Nanshu and tried to leave their thoughts for posterity would also be fine. It was in 1976 that Nanshu was enshrined here. About 40 years later, one day, the president of Kagoshima Bank, who visited Nanshu Shrine, was impressed by the Shonai people who still love Nanshu and dedicated the signboard of the shrine.
