★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 歴史:文亀三年(1503)丹羽氏員(うじかず)は、現在の八幡社にあった居城・吹上城が手狭になったことを理由に、西方100mの隣接区域に城を移転させ、折戸城と名付けた。
同年、理由は定かではないが、氏員はさらに北方1.5kmに本郷城を築いて移っていった。この時、折戸城は廃城となる。
ただ「寛文村々覚書」では、その後も丹羽家家臣の矢野城主・矢野某が城主を務めたとされている。
現在:遺構らしきものは一切残っていない。城域は南部福祉会館と砂利の空き地になっている。

 History: In the third year of Bunki (1503), Mr. Niwa (Ujikazu) relocated the castle to an adjacent area 100m west because the castle, Fukiage Castle, which was in the current Hachiman shrine, became too small. I named it Orito Castle.
In the same year, for unknown reasons, the officer moved to build Hongo Castle further 1.5km north. At this time, Orito Castle is abandoned.
However, according to the "Kanbun Village Memorandum", it is said that the Niwa clan's vassal, Yano Castle Lord, Yano Certain, continued to serve as the castle owner.
Present: Nothing that seems to be a remains remains. The castle area is a vacant lot with the Southern Welfare Hall and gravel.
