★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 千国街道（塩の道）は青木湖の南端から農具川に沿って尾根裾を中綱湖の北岸にまで進み、そこから湖の西岸の急な斜面に沿って中綱集落まで続きます。そして、集落に達すると、水神社の脇を通ります。
中綱では、水見の豊かな水の恵みを受けるとともに、水害をも経験してきました。そこで、湖西岸の山の上にいる龍神様に水の恵みへの感謝とともに水害からの回避を願うのです。往古、千国街道を往く旅人は、この神社の鎮守の森陰で一休みし、美味な水で渇きを癒しました。今でも、境内には湧き水を飲むための水道蛇口が設けられています。甘い味の水です。
The Senkoku Kaido (Shio no Michi) runs from the southern end of Lake Aoki along the Nogu River to the north shore of Lake Nakatsuna, and then continues along the steep slope of the west bank of the lake to the village of Nakatsuna. Then, when you reach the village, you will pass by the water shrine.
At Nakatsuna, we have experienced flood damage as well as receiving the blessings of the abundant water of Mizumi. Therefore, I would like to thank the dragon god on the mountain on the west bank of the lake for the blessings of water and to avoid flood damage. In ancient times, travelers traveling along the Senkoku Kaido took a rest in the shade of the guardian forest of this shrine and quench their thirst with delicious water. Even now, there is a tap for drinking spring water in the precincts. It is water with a sweet taste.
