★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 佐津浜を見下ろす展望台「魚見台」は、とっても見晴らしが良い！桜の時期はソメイヨシノと八重桜があるので、長い時期楽しめます。
戦後すぐまで、この浜は地引き網漁が盛んでした。魚見台に見張り役の人が居て、佐津の浜に魚の群れが入ると、住民に知らせて、地引き網を住民皆さんで曳きました。ハマチなどの大型魚は大きな白い布を振り、イワシの群れの場合はワラを振ったとか。
昭和30年代後半になると殆ど魚の群れが来なくなったとのことで地引き網漁も廃れました。元々の魚見台はもっと高い位置にあったそうで、駐車場を整備する際に展望台も付けたようです。
ここから浜までは100段の階段を降りれば行くことが可能です。香美町の中で最も透明度の良い佐津海水浴場は竹野海水浴場ほどの人出がなく、穴場の海水浴場です。
The observatory "Uomidai" overlooking Satsuhama has a very nice view! There are Yoshino cherry trees and double cherry blossoms during the cherry blossom season, so you can enjoy them for a long time.
Until the end of the war, seine fishing was active on this beach. There was a watchman at the fish viewing platform, and when a school of fish entered the beach of Satsu, we informed the residents and towed the seine net with them. Large fish such as yellowtail were shaken with a large white cloth, and in the case of a group of sardines, they were shaken with straw.
In the latter half of the 1955's, it was said that almost no school of fish had come, so the seine fishing was abolished. It seems that the original Uomidai was at a higher position, and it seems that an observation deck was attached when the parking lot was maintained.
You can reach the beach from here by taking 100 steps. The most transparent Satsu beach in Kami-cho is a beach with less crowds than the Takeno beach.

大きな魚の群を発見したら田植えを中止してでも舟を出すほどですから、この地域の方々にとって漁業収入が生活に影響を及ぼす凄い収入源だったのかと思います。
近年は魚の群が来なくなったそうです。
