★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious Kyoto homely dishes. Counter seats good for lone travellers. It is fine dining, so I can't complain about the small portions :) Especially enjoyed the Spanish mackerel marinated with miso. The fish was very fresh and tender, the seasoning was just right. Best served with rice :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for dinner around 8pm on a Tuesday night and wasn't too busy and by the time we left around 8:50pm the place was empty.
The service was very good and super friendly what was a little bit of a let down was the volume of food for what you pay. Most dishes we ordered were ok... Nothing bad nor amazing.
Overall it's OK but wasn't something I would return to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've never tried Obanzai Ryori and I'm glad I did. Went with my parents and we really enjoyed the traditional home style cooking of Kyoto. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. They even had menus in English. The manageress was truly nice and helpful. The 3 of us had drinks and quite a lot of food and it came up to 110,000 jpy. Love this place. I highly recommend it.
