とても立派な祠がありバックは山でとても雰囲気のある神社でした。
凛々しい狛犬さんもおりました。
This is Mr. Yawata, who is far behind Iwakura.
There was a very nice shrine and the back was a mountain and a very atmospheric shrine.
There was also a dignified guardian dog.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 祭神は八幡大神と惟仁親王。文徳天皇の第一皇子惟喬親王が、惟仁親王を祀ることを願ったと伝わる。惟仁親王の母は、藤原良房の娘明子。惟喬親王の母は紀氏で、立場が弱く、惟仁親王がのちに清和天皇になる。どうして、惟喬親王が惟仁親王を祀らなければいけないのか？由緒書き、大事な核心部分を端折ってませんか？私、浅学なんでよく分かりません。雨上がりに訪れたので、他に参拝者がおられず、山端のお社の静寂を独り占めできました。社殿の奥の小川の向こう岸に、役行者像と石仏が、斜面に埋もれるようにあり、由来が気になる。
The gods of worship are Hachiman Ogami and Emperor Seiwa. It is said that Emperor Montoku's first prince, Koretaka-shinno, wished to enshrine Koretaka-shinno. The mother of Emperor Seiwa is Akiko, the daughter of Yoshifusa Fujiwara. Koretaka-shinno's mother is Ki, who is in a weak position, and Koretaka-shinno later becomes Emperor Seiwa. Why does King Koretaka have to worship King Koretaka? Isn't the historical writing, the important core part broken? I'm not sure because I'm a shallow student. Since I visited after the rain, there were no other worshipers and I was able to monopolize the silence of Yamabata's company. On the other side of the stream at the back of the shrine, the statue of the actor and the stone Buddha are buried on the slope, and the origin is worrisome.

創建は諸説あり、詳細は不明ですが天安元年（857）に惟喬親王の御願で惟仁親王（第58代・清和天皇）を祀ったと伝えられています。
別の御由緒では、京都府愛宕郡村志に『村社創立詳(ら)かならず 口碑に天安元年惟喬親王の御願にて惟仁親王を祭りしといへど 其(の)無稽 尤も甚(だ)し 改正を要すべきなり』とあるように、詳しい由緒は不明との事です。

There are various theories about the foundation, but details are unknown, but it is said that in the first year of the Tianan (857), the god of honor was the enthusiasm of Emperor Suihi (58th Emperor Seiwa).
In another tradition, the village of Atago-gun, Kyoto Prefecture said, ``Murasha's founding details must be a monument to the festival, in honor of the Emperor Tianan's first year of Takashi Takamune, at the request of the son-in-law. However, it is necessary to revise it”, and the detailed history is unknown.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nagatani Hachimangu Shrine 長谷八幡宮 : Nagatani Hachimangu Shrine is located in the mountainous area of Iwakura in Sakyo-ku. iI is a quiet sacred shrine built in ancient times. Accordiong to the history it was founded in 857 during the times of Emperor Buntoku who is enshrined in the place as its deity along with Emperor Jintoku as the deity of Yahata Daijin. Since the location of the shrine marks the direction of North-East from Imperial Palace, the shrine was built as a sacred place to offer its protection. The structure and the fir tree standing in its precincts tell a long history of this shrine. In the north side of the shrine is a path connected to the mountain behind the shrine. There is a small place of worship on the side of the stream running down from the mountain.
