★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日蓮聖人一行は、配流地の佐渡から柏崎番神岬を経て越後国府(現上越市)を目指しますが、米山の山中から佐渡島が横たわっているのを目の当たりにして、佐渡での体験を振り返り、阿佛房夫妻等の檀越のことを思い遥拝したとされています。
当初は米山山中に建立されましたが、後に現在地に移転したそうで、旧地には石碑が建立されています。
御住職は大変真摯かつ温厚な方で、事前にアポイントメントを入れての参拝だったとはいえ、とても温かく迎えて下さいました。
色々お話しましたが、大変有り難い御言葉を戴きました。
 The Nichiren saints aim to reach Echigo Kokufu (current Joetsu City) from Sado in the distribution area through Amagasaki Banshinmisaki. It is said that they worshiped about Dankoshi such as Mr. and Mrs. Kobo.
It was originally built in the mountains of Yoneyama, but later moved to its current location, and a stone monument was erected in the old site.
The priest was a very sincere and generous person, who was greeted very warmly, even though it was a worship with an appointment in advance.
I have spoken a lot, and received a very thankful word.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 柏崎市・米山の大平の地（日蓮聖人の足跡顕彰碑あり）は、日蓮聖人が佐渡から鎌倉へ戻られる道中をお書きになられた『光日房御書』のなかにも記されており、その由緒結縁により妙興寺はかつてこの大平に建立されたという。現在は、新潟県柏崎市米山町2236に移されています。
かつて、この妙興寺様に参拝したことがあります。非常に良い御上人の方でした。今でもいい思い出となっています。
The land of Ohira in Yoneyama, Kashiwazaki City (there is a monument to the footprints of Nichiren Saints) is also mentioned in the "Hikarifusa Gosho" written on the way Nichiren Saints return from Sado to Kamakura. I once worshiped at Myokoji. He was a very good boss. I still have good memories.
