★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Myokenji Temple : The mainhall is a gigantic structure. This main hall of Nichiren style was constructed in Edo period. Inside the hall you will see the family creasts ( symbol ) of congregation are depicted on every single wooden square boards on the ceiling. Life-sized images of "Nichiren", "Nichiro" and "Nichizo" are enshrined here. It is amazing in its size when you go close to the building although it's difficult to capture the true magnificence of this structure. It is one of the greatest spots to see in Spring and Autumn. Slight damage with recent typhoon but not to the main building.
Very impressive, worth the détour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited the temple in April 2018 during cherry blossom season at night, when there is evening light-up occasion. So beautiful and serene. I feel it is like an fairytale fantasyland with calm and spiritual fulfillment. Less known but much worthy to visit.
