神	神戸昴 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ バス停寺ノ内徒歩圏内。戦国ファンにはたまらない日蓮宗の寺院で、特別公開を首を長くして待ちお邪魔しました。こちらの１９世日饒上人さまが、斎藤道三公のご子息であったご縁から道三公、娘婿の信長公に関する物を拝観する事が出来ます。信長公は当時、本願寺&比叡山と対立していた事から、兵士の集結に適した広大な境内を持つ、日蓮宗のこちらの寺院を京都滞在中の定宿とされており、20数回の京都滞在のうち18回こちらに宿泊されました。本能寺の宿泊は３回のみで、3回目の宿泊時に光秀公に襲われ、無念の御最後を遂げられてしまいます。また、本能寺の変の時は嫡男信忠公がこちらに宿泊されていた事でも、織田家との深い結び付きを物語っています。千利休さまがこちらで茶会を開かれたこともあり、美しい庭園"法姿園"、聚楽第からの移築と伝わる表門など見処一杯です。圧巻は斎藤道三公の遺言状"信長公への美濃一国譲り状"がレプリカですが拝観出来る事で、本当に斎藤道三公、織田信長公好きにはたまらない寺院だと思います。御朱印は拝観受付にて頂けます。 Walking distance to the bus stop Teranouchi. It's not a famous temple like the one in the guidebook, but the garden is wonderful. I was able to see it quietly and slowly in a super secret place.

Milller on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only open certain times of the year, Myokaku Temple is of interest to history buffs thanks to it's association with Sengoku period warlords, and particular Oda Nobunaga. He started at this temple most of the time when he was visiting Kyoto. The temple's location is different now than when Nobunaga would have stayed, but it had some of the same atmosphere. The temple is nice in the fall when the maple trees turn red.
