★ ★ ★ ★ ★ みどりの窓口に用がある際は駅係員にその旨を伝えると窓口営業駅である中原・溝ノ口のどちらかまで無料で乗車できる。
追記:対応が変わったようで140円の切符を買って中原か溝口の改札駅員に申告する(改札機にはいれてはならない)か、icカードで乗車後に両駅のみどりの窓口で申告すると運賃が返金される。
利用客の多い駅でも窓口を閉鎖するJR東日本、こういった制度があることを周知するポスター等を制作するべき。
If you have a need at the Midori no Madoguchi, tell the station staff to that effect and you can board the ticket office at either Nakahara or Mizonokuchi for free.
Postscript: It seems that the correspondence has changed, so if you buy a ticket of 140 yen and declare it to the ticket gate station staff of Nakahara or Mizoguchi (you must not enter the ticket gate), or if you declare it at the green window of both stations after boarding with an ic card The fare will be refunded.
JR East, which closes the window even at stations with many users, should produce posters to inform that there is such a system.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 商店街は便利だが、歩きたばこが本当に多い。自転車乗りながらタバコ吸ってるやつや、どこに行っても歩きたばこしているやつがいる。あまりにも嫌になったので２年間住んだが引っ越すことにした。歩きたばこがなければ便利な街なので評価は４。
The shopping street is convenient, but there are a lot of walking cigarettes. Some are smoking while riding a bicycle, and some are smoking wherever they go. I was so disgusted that I lived for two years but decided to move. The rating is 4 because it is a convenient city if you don't have walking cigarettes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新宿・渋谷・横浜・川崎まで、約３０分以内でアクセスできます。周りは平地で幾つかの商店街もあり、駅のすぐ傍に郵便局や銀行、総合病院、コンビニ、大小のスーパーがあり便利です。パン屋さんや食堂も多いです。近くの商店街は屋根がついており、雨の日には助かります。駅周辺は平坦な道が多いので、自転車を利用するのが便利です。住宅街は街灯も多く、明るいため、夜遅い時間でもある程度安心です。東急線の通る溝の口、武蔵小杉にも数分で行ける割に。街全体は落ち着いている印象です。渋谷発の深夜バスの停車地点になっています。
You can reach Shinjuku, Shibuya, Yokohama, and Kawasaki in less than 30 minutes. The surrounding area is flat and there are several shopping streets, and there are post offices, banks, general hospitals, convenience stores, and large and small supermarkets right next to the station. There are also many bakeries and restaurants. The nearby shopping street has a roof, which helps on rainy days. There are many flat roads around the station, so it is convenient to use a bicycle. The residential area has many street lights and is bright, so you can rest assured even late at night. You can reach Musashi Kosugi, the Mizonokuchi where the Tokyu line runs, in a few minutes. The whole city has a calm impression. It is a stop for the late-night bus departing from Shibuya.
