★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 火山活動で噴火した溶岩が急激に冷やされて柱状節理となり横にも俵程の大きな切れ目が入った玄武岩だそうです。豊岡市 福知山市夜久野町などにもありますが、十数万年前に大噴火が起きた証とも言えます。神鍋高原や但馬丹波なども形成されたのでしょう。今は遊歩道が落石の為に「進入禁止」「立ち入り禁止」となっておりました。次回はまじかで観たいです。この石も磁気を持っているのでしょうか？

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 採石場が危険なため「進入禁止」になってましたので撮影できませんでした。溶岩が冷え固まってできた玄武岩で、縦長の柱状節理と平らに割れる板状節理が俵を積み上げた様に見えるから「俵石」の名がついたそうです。玄武洞の玄武岩は厚みはありませんので庭石に持って来いでしたが、俵石は石柱素材に使ったのでしょうか？ 整備されることを願います。
