Best Sushi restaurant in japan

H	H T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy little sushi restaurant tucked away in a corner at Tsukiji outer market. Hard to locate but it’s worth it as the food is fresh, delicious and affordable. You know it’s good when majority of the diners are locals.

I stumbled across this restaurant while walking around Tsukiji on a Saturday morning it seemed very local and authentic so I decided to give it a go. The restaurant is composed by few tables, it can probably sit less then 20 people at a time and you also might end up sharing a table with other people. Staff is nice and friendly, they struggle a bit with English, but they had a menu with the 4/5 food options they serve with images and prices, so ordering was easy. I had a sushi tasting place with at least 12 different cut of fish including 3 different types of tuna, it was very good, fresh and tasty. This costed me only 1500 yen!! Loved the atmosphere and food, I highly recommend a visit if you are around Tsukiji.
S	Swee Chye Loh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in the back alley near the Tsukiji market. Do enter from the side black door and not the transparent sliding door (as shown in pictures). Sushi is superb! It's the best as compared to what I had in my whole Japan trip. The meat given is thick and fresh. Many local frequent there and price is definely reasonable. If you are not a fan of spicy or washabi, you can request for less or no washabi. Do note that there's no English menu and staffs are not really able to communicate in English. However, the staffs are polite and patient and I resort in pointing and sign languages. As shown is what I ordered and it cost 1500 yen.
B	Bibin MV on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I know about this well hidden place from Mark Wiens video. Its quite an adventure to find it. But its not hard. Just stick to your google maps u will find it. When i arrive im not pretty sure that this is actually a restaurant. Its just a small house. Dont hesitate to slide the door and come inside. Not many table inside. But i think this place is famous around the local people. When i dine in here a lot of local people eat here. Its one of the best sushi i had in Japan. The ingredient is very fresh, the rice is delicious. I ordered sushi and chirashi. Its not expensive. Its cheap. If you eat at restaurant within the market. the price of the sushi is expensive. I highly recommend you try this place. Even they dont have english menu. But the lady owner will kindly explained and help you to order
J	J T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Motodane was great. it was our first stop for sushi in Tokyo. definitely a bit harder find as others have mentioned - look for the numbers and it makes its a lot easier, turn into a small alley. we were offered an English menu with pictures which was super helpful. i ordered the negi toro which was super fresh and great quality. my sister ordered a sashimi plate with a few cuts of tuna, toro included, served with rice. we were served miso soup with our meal as well -can't recommend it more! since it's in a more secluded block, we were able to eat by ourselves in the restaurant, while the owner was sitting at the table. it was nice to enjoy the meal away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tsukiji market - it's definitely very overwhelming if it's the first trip!

I think they have a English menu, please ask nicely for one if you go. They mostly do nigiri plate and chirashi (seafood rice bowl). They also have small sides like maki handrolls.
