★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 荒れた畑を抜けて山道を登っていくと城跡と思しきところに祠があります。昔は地元の人たちが定期的に登ってお参りしていたようですが、今はルートもよくわからないほど荒れています。途中滑落の危険があるような箇所もあり、登っていくにはそれなりに覚悟がいります。

There are places where there is a risk of sliding down on the way, so you need to be prepared to climb.

1569年、武田信玄の三増峠の戦いで、相模御幣山砦（御幣山城）を追われた、大谷帯刀嘉信は、小田原城に、籠もり抗戦し、豊臣秀吉の小田原征伐の際に、ここ西牧城跡に籠もり、討死した城跡です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北条氏が北国勢に備えた。城で松平氏によって落とされたらしいです。近くに物語山と言う崖の山が有りその上で生き絶えた武将がいて鎧兜があったという伝説が有ります。
Mr. Hojo prepared for the northern powers. Apparently it was dropped by Mr. Matsudaira at the castle. There is a legend that there is a cliff mountain called Story Mountain nearby, and there was a warlord who survived on it, and there was an armor helmet.

城域の周囲は小川により自然の外堀となっており、橋を渡って攻め入る。そこから一段高い場所が広い削平地となっており、虎口は細い坂虎口、周りは切岸となっている。周辺は石垣だらけであり、おそらく耕作のためだと思われる。詰城に行こうと思い、左手の斜面に取り付くが、石だらけ、かつ急。上の方は断崖となっている。なんとか頑張って右手の張り出した見張り台のような場所に着くが、そこから見上げると恐れを抱いて撤退。おそらくそこから左手の斜面を登るように見えるが、落ちたら死にそう。ここも行ったらあかん城だと思う。

The area around the castle area is a natural outer moat due to a stream, and you can cross the bridge to attack. The place one step higher than that is a wide flat land, the koguchi is a narrow slope koguchi, and the surrounding area is a cliff. The surrounding area is full of stone walls, probably due to cultivation. I decided to go to the castle, and attached to the slope on my left, but it was full of stones and steep. The upper part is a cliff. I managed to get to a place like a lookout on my right hand, but when I looked up from there, I withdrew with fear. Perhaps it looks like you're climbing the slope on your left, but if you fall, you'll die. I think it's Akan Castle if I go here as well.
