★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Japan there are too many ramen places to choose from, however when in Kyoto, look no further. Fire ramen is not only a great tourist attraction but it tastes surprisingly delicious! We got lucky and didn't have to wait in line but I hear it can be super busy as it only holds up to 10-12 people at a time.
Make sure you bring a camera phone or go pro as they have hanging stand to hook them up to record you. I do warn you in advance, you will feel the fire, even the server wears a plastic mask. By far one of the best food experiences I've had so far in Japan! I would definitely recommend coming here!

Even if you dont like Ramen, you should definitely go for the experience. The Ramen was delicious, with a soy sauce based broth, with some local green onions grown in Kyoto. Atmosphere was warm and welcome on a cold night, and the show was phenomenal! They even help you set up your phone so you can have a video.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn’t know what we got ourselves into at first. We came here by accident because it’s only a few open restaurant at 2pm.
It was a fun experience and entertaining to watch. Just relax. They will ask you where you’re from and will give you an instruction to follow in your language.
The food is quite nice and can fulfill our hungry stomach.
The price is a bit pricey but I would still recommend this restaurant if you want to be entertained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place surprised us. We got there by chance and we loved it. You have to order the Ramen, one for each person in the group. It is not spicy, it is just really hot! Staff was friendly and had instructions in many different languages. Very good experience overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is on fire! Literally they light your ramen on fire just before eating ?. I nearly lost my eye brows?. Everything about it was awesome, and it is safe for children. I’m buying a shirt and if I’m come back to Kyoto, I’m coming back here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a great experience. Ramen was delicious. Fried rice and good were delicious as well. The food was more than enough for us although some families who share their sets may think the fried rice portion was on the small side. Small location but was worth the 30 minute wait. Pay with cash or card. Only two parking spots. Recommend going around 730pm or 800 pm (after the dinner rush).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven't been here since March 2020, and after two years of being closed, Fire Ramen is finally open again! This restaurant is the only place that serves this unique experience, so please be sure to come at least once while you're visiting Kyoto. The food is delicious with a smoky flavor, even the sides of fried chicken, rice, and gyoza. You can come here near the Nijo area~ not too far from the famous Castle. The workers are also very kind, speak with customers, and record your experience! ??
