★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful and astounding monument of the entrance of a peaceful serenity right within the urban bounds of the city. Huge in stature, it's best to enter from the Harajuku station side as the optimal starting point of the walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best aspect of this shrine. The huge Tori gate! Takes you quite a journey to reach the shrine from here. More big gates along the way, but the shrine is rather bland, compared to so many others in Tokyo, it's just very famous.
