Matsunoyu - Tendō

The name of the inn is derived from the name of Wakamatsuji, famous for “Medamedeta-no-, Wakama-tsusa-ma-”. I used it with my mother, my sister, and a couple in Shinonome. I calmed down with a quiet atmosphere that made me forget that I was in the city. While the inn's response is polite, you can have a good feeling with a good sense of distance without pressure. The bath is not big, but we relaxed in a comfortable hot spring with a source spring. Meals were served in a private room. The room of 28 tatami mats for 4 people was a little too wide, but the contents of the dishes were seasonal and there was a feeling that everything was handed over, and the seasoning was also perfect. One item is a small amount, but there are many items, and it seems that there was a little amount for the elderly mother. The contents were about 100,000 yen for 4 people, so the very good inn and the accompanying family were acclaimed.

The hot water is very good and I am satisfied. I'm visiting hot springs, but it's quite high.

Due to the spread of corona infection, I chose an inn where I could eat in the morning and evening. It was a small inn with few rooms, and I went to the large communal bath three times, but I was able to spend time without meeting anyone. Especially, the open-air bath that I entered while looking at the snow-capped pine trees was the best. The dinner was very good. Since I am a person in the prefecture, I am often not impressed by the food at the inns in the prefecture, but I am glad that the content was elaborate. I was asked, "Some people leave meat dishes because they have a lot of volume, but would you like to serve them first?", But I asked them to serve them in the usual order, but in the end I couldn't eat them and left a little. I regret having done it. Breakfast was also delicious. It was a maisonette type, and I had to go back and forth between the bath / washbasin on the first floor and the Japanese-style room on the second floor, but the children were happy to go up and down the stairs. The pottery bath in the room was also good. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality regarding the service. In Corona, above all, I am very grateful that there is a hot spring bath in the room and it is a morning and evening meal, but even so, the accommodation fee is set at a very reasonable price range, so I can go even during the GOTO suspension period. It's done. This point is a rare and valuable inn in Yamagata prefecture and neighboring prefectures.

However, there are conditions. 1 Do not use public transportation 2 Elderly mothers get tired unless the distance traveled is within 2 hours by car 3 Where there is a private dining room because I am afraid of corona 4 It's still nice to have a hot spring in the room That's why I decided to go to Matsunoyu! The room is a maisonette type. Breakfast as well as dinner is served at the dining room on the first floor of the room. Until now, I didn't like the room meal because I was worried about the time to raise and lower the futon and the smell of the food, but I didn't mind the smell of the dining room and I could make the futon slowly. I thought that room food would be nice if it was a room. Although it took time for the bathroom to warm up in the hot springs in the room, I was able to take a small bath and my mother was satisfied! My sister and I went to the public bath. I was able to take a bath comfortably without congestion. The amount of food was too much to eat, and although there were no special ingredients, I was satisfied with the good seasoning. Well, I can't see the scenery at the location of Tendo Onsen, but the overall impression is quite good. On my way home, I took a picture in the garden and gave it as a gift. Corona measures were also perfect, and you can stay with peace of mind!

We stayed at Matsunoyu, which has a small number of guest rooms (12 rooms in total) and is highly evaluated for its cooking hot springs. There are two parking lots, but it is convenient because it is right in front of the inn. When you arrive at the inn, is it the landlady? A veteran female staff welcomes you softly. A landscaped garden spreads around the center of the inn. When I was squinting my eyes, the cat also came to play and I accidentally took a picture. I was surprised that there were many guest rooms! It was a Japanese-style room A plan in the main building, but the bedroom is a Western-style room with a semi-open-air bath in a Japanese-style room with 10 tatami mats, which is large enough for two people to stay. I like the fact that the open-air baths in the rooms are hot springs. There are two baths in the building, and men and women will be replaced at 22:00. Matsunoyu, which has an open-air bath, can only be used until 22:00, so be careful. It is also a nice point that there are two types of sources that are rare in Tendo. You can also soak in different hot springs and enjoy the difference like a sommelier. And the most enjoyable thing about Matsunoyu is eating. We enjoyed the taste of Tendo to the fullest with a menu that was quite powerful for both dinner and breakfast. Rice eggplant Dengaku is seasoned with miso sauce (miso) and goes well with locally produced rice. Juice served at 〆 As the name suggests, it's a whale meat that I think contains. It seems that whales are called dolphins here. It was a dish that made the texture of whale meat addictive. At breakfast, Yamagata's soboro soup stock is just faint in agony. Recently, Yamagata dashi is sold at local supermarkets, so I often buy it, but the authenticity is different. It's a great ryokan, but it was a little inconvenient not to have WiFi. In addition, since the location of the inn is in the city and there are tall buildings and inns in the vicinity, we recommend using blinds to protect the privacy of the guest rooms. It was my first time at Tendo Onsen, but I am still satisfied with the content that exceeded my expectations.

There are 12 large communal baths, one is acidic and the other is alkaline, and I didn't encounter many people. The food was good too.

It was a maisonette type room. The elaborate dishes with good ingredients made me feel like I was in a small restaurant. The large communal bath was also good, but I thought that the quality of the hot spring in the source bath in the room was stronger. It was a good inn to visit after a long time.

I stayed overnight because I wanted to stay in a hideaway inn. It's a small and old inn, but it feels good because it's clean and well-cleaned! However, the room feels dim and cold. The impression is quite different from the photo in the pamphlet. It is ◎ that there is a semi-open-air bath in the room. The large communal bath also had a nice open-air bath. At first glance, the food is sober and there are no high-class ingredients, but it is a very common ingredient, but all of them are very delicious and it was a wonderful dish that clearly shows the skill of the chef. The price is high, so how about this room? I think there is a room with a better view between the Japanese-style rooms, so I wanted to stay there.
