２月の節分祭、４月の鎮花祭、３月の郷神楽祭、１１月の新嘗祭での神楽奉奏などで使用されるそうです。
楼門内のほぼ中央に建てられていて木造建築としても見応えのある建物でした。
また舞殿周辺にはクスノキの巨木が何本かそびえていますが、一つ一つ手を当ててみると全く違う感覚が得られ自分に合うクスノキを見つけると大きな大地のパワーを頂けるそうです。
私も全てのクスノキで試してみましたが一本だけとても気持ち良く包まれる感じがする気が有りました。
その木に触れていると他の木々の葉は揺れないのに、その一本だけ葉が揺れ出してとても神秘的な雰囲気を味わえました。
