★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice cozi place to eat Hiroshima's iconic dish. Very nice and friendly staff. You can enjoy a nice conversation with the owner and main chef while enjoying your food, and also get to follow the whole process as the food is prepared right in front of you. Loved by locals and strangers. It is common to hear conversations between the owner and customers in Japanese, English, and Spanish. The place is busy on evenings, so be patient as you might have to wait for around 5 min.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Okonomiyaki is a classic dish you can find all over Japan. For me, the best are from Hiroshima. Fernando Lopez is originally from Guatemala but moved with his Japanese wife to Hiroshima. He was trained by the ultimate okonomiyaki master and now serves his own. The dish was invented when there was a shortage of food and these ingredients were always available. Its Japanese soul food at its best and Fernando’s version is true craftsmanship. He's also one of the nicest chefs you'll ever meet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great okonomiyaki and even better service. A great small restaurant with lots of options on how to eat your okonomiyaki. The owner is really kind and a great cook. Prices are reasonable for the quality, about 670-800 yen for a basic one and then extra for toppings. I highly recommend this place when in Hiroshima!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just superb. I haven't eaten many of the okonomiyaki on offer in Hirohsima, but it's clear that this is a masterclass in the skills required to turn out the perfect dish every time. The owner is so welcoming, working with a skilled team to keep the grill moving while chatting away with all the customers seated around it, it's a real joy to watch them work together. Highly recommended for anybody, local or visitor, it's a genuine pleasure to eat here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ And this restaurant to your to-do list while in Hiroshima. The classic dishes served up here by the Master chef and owner are well worth the trip. Make sure to add the toppings of your choice since the signature dish which starts out as sort of a crepe with a ton of cabbage can be a little bland. My suggestion is add pork, jalapenos and cheese. Be prepared to sit at the grill area and eat the food right off the grill, although if you confess you're a novice Chef Lopez will provide you a plate.
