★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 一般公開はしていないですが、イベントの時に行くととても勉強になります。
西洋薬で有名な武田薬品が、意外にも漢方薬原料である大黄や甘草の栽培化を行っているのはよい意味でビックリしました。
また、植物園を活用して、絶滅危惧植物の保護もやっているとか。
集中と選択で、スリム化が進む世の中ですが、こういう植物園を持っている武田薬品を応援したくなりました。

普段は非公開だそうですが、たまに一般公開が募られます。
見逃さず申し込めば、武田薬品工業の職員さんがガイドについて解説付きで観覧させてもらえます。贅沢。
面白いところでは、メジャーな漢方薬の原料植物をひとまとめに集めて「ここのひとまとまりで○○のお薬だよ」と見せてくれます。
超有名な葛根湯なんかも。
ガイド付きツアーのあとは、園内を自由に観覧できました。
勾配が大きく、山です。
府立植物園のような平地でなく、歩きやすい靴がいいと思います。
木も、標本札が設置されていて、企業立の丁寧に作られた施設です。
管理棟は瀟洒で、大切なお客様の接遇にも使われているのかな？という印象を受けました。
パネル展示に、美しいイラストの図録、ウェブサイト掲載の図録を閲覧するためのノートPCが設置されて、管理棟だけでも見応えあります。
一般公開は年に1回か数回か、少ないようですが、ウェブサイトで告知されています。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 広い薬用植物園です。学校のイベントで見学しましたが、味見しながら社員の方が丁寧に楽しく説明してくださりました。自分は生薬に全く詳しくなく基礎知識がなかったので、よく分からない植物が多かったですが、見て触れて食べて歩いて体験できたとても楽しい経験でした。
