★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鏡山山系の中では最も大きな池で、時期によっては増水し、東家付近の登山道が冠水します。(最大で東家のベンチまで水没します。)
なお、冠水時の対策で迂回路が設けてありますが、藪の中に分岐している細い道なのでわかりづらいです。
また、池の水位は雨の後には増水し東家付近にある桟橋あたりが冠水しますが、水が引くまで数週間かかります。
