桜の季節は枝垂れ桜と大島桜が楽しめます。
ご住職家族がよく手入れをされている庭の花は桜だけではなく四季折々の花が咲きます。
歴史ある寺を守る芝犬は可愛らしいですが、番犬の役目を忘れておらず慣れてない相手だと、動きをじっと観察し怪しいと感じると吠えて人を呼びます。
私には吠えません。と、少し自慢。
春と秋の交通安全週間は金嶺寺さんの前にテントを張り、町内会で順番で担当をしますが、結構外国人観光客が訪れ撮影をするのを見ます。
門から本堂までの空間はたしかに切り取って持ち帰りたくなる風景ですね。
