2016年8月に初めて外国人患者様の診察で北村クリニックの北村医師にお目にかかりました。
もちろん先生は英語を流暢に話されるのですが外国の患者さま達は外国で具合悪くなると不安感があり予約をしたり受付でのやり取り問診票を書いたり処方薬を受け取りに行ったりとかは私の様な医療通訳士の助けが必要になります。クリニックの英語の問診票作成のお手伝いも以前させていただきました。その際私の様な者に対しても先生は感謝の気持ちをコラムに投稿してくださり大変恐縮いたしました。
いろんな国籍の患者様の通訳として北村先生の診察を垣間見させていただいていますが、患者様の話を聞いて必要な検査、薬の処方、そしてフォローアップに至るまで本当に親切に対応してくださいます。また受付や看護師さん達も大変親切です。
外国人の患者様もなんて優しいドクターなの''スコットさんありがとう''と私が治した訳ではないのに喜んでいただいた事が多々あります。
私自身海外駐在時代、香港の総合病院、ニュージーランドのクリニック等で通訳としていろんなドクターと関わって参りましたがそれらの経験の中でも北村先生は人間的にも泌尿器科の専門医としても信頼出来る素晴らしいドクターだと尊敬しております。

I need the help of a medical interpreter like me. I also helped the clinic prepare an English questionnaire before. At that time, the teacher posted a feeling of gratitude to someone like me in the column, and I am very sorry.
As an interpreter for patients of various nationalities, I have a glimpse of Dr. Kitamura's medical examination, but he / she listens to the patients and responds really kindly to the necessary tests, prescription of medicines, and follow-up. .. The receptionist and the nurses are also very kind.
