Definitely recommend this restaurant! Cozy environment, super friendly owner and super nice sushi! However, do take note that they closes at 2pm and then reopen at 5pm as they need to prepare some ingredient!

The best sushi I've ever eaten. Personal kind, welcoming and who cares about what you love. I strongly advise if you go through tokyo!!!!

An unassuming restaurant operated by 2 brothers, one of whom speaks English. Seating ca. 25 diners this restaurant caters mostly to locals. I was the only foreigner in the establishment. Although as far as I could tell they did not serve sushi, to my taste their Sashimi and Miso soup was excellent.

First, 2 stars because the tenchou can speak perfect English. I ordered Omakase Sushi which is the most expensive course on the menu. The taste was so-so. The miso soup was too salty, I couldn't finish it. However, I saw the other customers at the counter got way fancier dishes. I asked the tenchou and found out that those were the course for the regular customers. I was so disappointed. how could I know that course exists if they didn't tell me in the first place? I didn't mind to pay more, but I took it seriously if I didn't get the best I could get. You want me to visit the second time to order? Sorry, but I'd rather not visit again.

An experience to remember before I flew back to the US. Walked in with my colleagues. There was no English menu so we told the Chef (speaks excellent English) that we are relying on him... and oh what a pleasant surprise he had for us. Simple, fresh, authentic, balanced sushi. Loved it! A true Japanese experience

Extremely good sushi, but not a cheap eat. We ordered a set for 2 people and left it completely in the hand of the chef, who also spoke good English. The sushi was delicious and we got even an extra eel sushi, where I was sceptical first (from. Other places where I had eel sushi) but this time it was outstanding. Even though the service, sushi and experience in general was really good, we didn't expect to pay almost 3 times of what we paid at other places.

Great sushi! Very well made. Nice atmosphere. And, for non-Japenese speakers, the chef speaks excellent English. Highly recommend.

After spending three months in Japan I can honestly say that the Sushi at Kisushi is not only the best Sushi I had during my entire stay but also the best food overall - and there are a lot of strong contenders. The quality and freshness of the ingredients, the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the skill of the chef all come together to create a unique dining experience you won't forget any time soon. To top it off, the value you get for your money is outstanding. I've been to places a lot more expensive and none of them served better Sushi. Do take note though that this is not a cheap restaurant, depending on what and how much you eat you can expect to shell out 5000yen or more, while a smaller dinner for 2000yen is also possible. The chef speaks excellent English and cares about serving what you like, so feel free to ask beforehand. Whatever you end up ordering though, you'll definitely get your money's worth! While I could go on and on, there's one last recommendation I wanna leave you with: Try the house sake. One of the best I had in Japan!
