★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 世間一般では東京大学の門といえば赤門を連想し、赤門が正門だと思う方が多いのではないだろうか？私も以前はそう思っていたが、赤門を右手に更に進むと赤門とは違う意味で立派な門扉が目に入る。よくセンター試験の時期になると報道で映るのが確かこの門ではなかったかと思う。
東京大学は北海道大学についで敷地面積が広い為、門の数も多い。正門、赤門のほかにも弥生門、龍岡門などある。
The general public may think that the gate of the University of Tokyo is associated with Akamon, and many think that Akamon is the main gate. I used to think so, but if you proceed further to the right with Akamon, you will see a magnificent gate in a sense different from Akamon. I think it was certainly this gate that was often reported in the press when it was time for center exams.
The University of Tokyo has a large site area next to Hokkaido University, so there are many gates. In addition to the main gate and red gate, there are Yayoi gate and Tatsuoka gate.
