★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local restaurant, both the owners and the patrons, making for a lovely insight into everyday Tokyo life as people come and go and chat away to strangers as they sit down. The menu is small but everything is fresh and prepared in front of your eyes, and all for a very reasonable price (about ¥1,100 for a lunch dish that includes pickled starters, miso clam soup and green tea).
