二尊仏のちょうど裏側にある3体のお地蔵さま。1600年代後半に制作されたものがあり、数百年間地域を見守ってくれています。浅草寺はその昔、周辺に相当な数のお寺がひしめくようにあったようで、このお地蔵さんもひょっとすると少々位置を移動されたりして今ここに落ち着いているのかもしれません。こうしたサラっと設置されているものが実は数百年の歴史を持つ貴重な史跡だったりするのも、浅草寺の魅力の一つだなと感じます。

Three Jizo statues just behind the two Buddha statues. Some were produced in the late 1600s and have been watching over the area for hundreds of years. Sensoji Temple used to be crowded with a considerable number of temples around it, and this Jizo may have moved a little and is now settled down here. I feel that one of the attractions of Sensoji Temple is that the things that are installed in such a smooth manner are actually valuable historic sites with a history of hundreds of years.
