2021年春から一般の入場が可能になり、夏には海水浴場も解放。
津波注意報や警報の際の避難に課題あり。特に身障者の避難は改善が必要でしょう。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和初期に日本百景に選定されてから、市民はもちろん、多くの人に愛されてきた高田松原。往時の夏場には、岩手県内陸部南部の人などの海水浴客で賑わって、竹駒町辺りまで渋滞の列が続くこともあった。
朝の散歩、クラブ活動、釣りなどで親しまれてきたが、2011年東日本大震災の津波により、焼失。その後、強い意志を持った有志、世界各地からの応援を頂き、松原の再生活動を行っている。
Takata Matsubara has been loved by many people as well as citizens since it was selected as one of the 100 Landscapes of Japan in the early Showa period. In the summer of the past, it was crowded with sea bathers such as people from the southern part of the inland area of Iwate prefecture, and there were times when traffic jams continued to the area around Takekoma-cho.
It has been popular for morning walks, club activities, fishing, etc., but it was burnt down by the tsunami caused by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Since then, he has been carrying out Matsubara's revitalization activities with the support of volunteers with a strong will and from all over the world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 津波で無くなった「高田の松原」の再生計画で4万本の松の苗木を植樹されていました。５０年先に繋げる取り組みで元の松林にするべく松ぼっくりから発芽させた苗木が植えられているとの事、道路や建物と違う復興を見て嬉しくなりました。きっとみんなの願いは将来に続く事でしょう。
40,000 pine saplings were planted in the rehabilitation plan for "Takata no Matsubara," which was lost due to the tsunami. It was said that saplings germinated from pine cones were planted in order to restore the original pine forest in an effort to connect 50 years in the future, and I was happy to see the reconstruction different from the roads and buildings.
