Visited for new years ritual. It was spacious. On the way to the temple are the shops along the street where you can buy candies, lucky charms like daruma, hamaya arrow, kumade plow etc...

Very peaceful and calm place. Visitors come from far off places to see this temple. It's a huge area and has 3-4 temples. The scenery is very beautiful here. Easily can spend couple of hours here. Lot of local shops sell authentic Japanese goods here. Daishi park is very close by and that is also a very good place to visit. Cons: No convenience store nearby, so you need to carry your items before hand.

I grew up near here and I used to come here on the new year's day every year until I moved to US. I had an opportunity to be back home during new year's last year and I was relieved to know what nothing has changed. You can stroll down on the street to do some shopping and don't forget to pick up the freshly made cough drops!

We had a great time shopping along the Japanese-style hawker shops. All the foods sold there were truly local and taste great. The temple was huge and everyone was wearing the traditional Kimono costumes, we felt like we've just travelled back in time.

This temple is located in the south of Kawasaki city. Reachable from Keikyu Kawasaki station by Daishi line. The temple is very beautiful with the main entrance so grand, and a very beautiful golden Buddha statue. The short walk to the temple is interesting as the streets are lined with shops selling sweets and colourful daruma dolls and souvenirs. When you're in Kawasaki this temple is worth spending time in!!!

Lovely Buddhist temple in a charming neighborhood. Very quiet when I visited at the end of July 2020, probably due to Covid-19. There was a ceremony being held inside the temple with chanting. However, it's sadly not allowed to take pictures and record video/audio inside.

Nice and small temple town very peaceful. They have also constructed one temple which is an exact replica of an Indian temple. This is at walking distance from the train station. Can visit once if you visit that location or nearby . You get some sweet candies to try on the street shops on the way it is tasty .

This is sacred spot in Kanagawa prefecture. I visit every year on New Years Day for hatsumode. Thousands of people got in line with us to enter the main place for praying. ⛩Once you pray here all your dreams will come true. There are plenty of talismans to buy like special arrows and tiger themed wood talismans. There are souvenir shops and few stalls where you can find rice crackers and amazake. One of my favorite shrines and definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.
