昭和59年に弘法大師1150年遠忌を記念して「祈りと平和」像は建立されました。
像全体は金色で、中央に光臨した観音をモチーフとした女神、周囲は鹿野苑で楽器を奏でる天女です。中央の女神が「祈り」、周囲の天女が「平和」を表しているという。

In 1984, the statue of "Prayer and Peace" was erected to commemorate the 1150 anniversary of Kobo Daishi.
The entire statue is golden, a goddess with a Kannon motif in the center, and a celestial maiden playing a musical instrument in Kanoen. It is said that the central goddess represents "prayer" and the surrounding celestial maidens represent "peace."

In 1984, the statue of "Prayer and Peace" was erected to commemorate the 1150 anniversary of Kobo Daishi. The whole statue is golden. The central goddess represents "prayer," and the surrounding celestial maidens represent "peace." It is a work of Katsuzou Entsuba, the recipient of the Order of Culture.
