やすらぎ橋の案内板には
『やすらぎ橋
お釈迦さま、お薬師さまへと続く朱色の橋。古来、朱色はさいなんを除き、幸福を招くといわれております。欄干には悟りへと向かう段階（発心・修行・菩提・涅槃）を表す種子（梵字）二十文字が刻まれています。やすらぎ橋を欄干伝いに渡り、清らかな心でお釈迦さま、お薬師さまにお詣りください。』と書かれている。
