福島県猪苗代町を旅行した際に見つけた鉄道跡。もともとは沼尻鉱山からの硫黄鉱石を運んでいた総延長15.6キロの鉄道です。鉱山閉山後、観光に引き継がれたが1969年に廃止。「高原列車は行く」の歌はここから生まれたことを知りました。
現在では道路沿いに11の駅舎のあったところに表示板が残っているようですが、私は6駅しか見つけられませんでした。
[Numajiri Light Railroad]
A railroad trace found while traveling in Inawashiro Town, Fukushima Prefecture. Originally, it was a railway with a total length of 15.6 km that carried sulfur ore from the Numajiri mine. After the mine closed, it was taken over by tourism but abolished in 1969. I learned that the song "The plateau train goes" was born from here.
It seems that there are now signs left along the road where there were 11 station buildings, but I could only find 6 stations.
