★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅を降り横断歩道を渡るとすぐ海岸。目の前に三河湾が広がり大勢の潮干狩り客で賑わっていた。河和口〜河和間は単線となる。

かつては、海水浴や潮干狩りの時期に、多くの観光客が押し寄せましたが、今はそれほどでもありません。
駅前の幹線道路の海側の堤防の場所に、かっぱの像があります。
このかっぱ像は、50年以上前から設置されており、 密かな名物ですね。
河和駅と河和口駅の間は、開通してから今現在でも単線なので、この駅はすれ違いの機能も果たしています。
利用者は少ないものの、河和口駅は、特急停車駅になってます！
It is one station before Kawawa Station, the end point of the Meitetsu Kawawa Line.
In the past, during the bathing and clamming season, many tourists came, but not so much now.
There is a kappa statue on the embankment on the sea side of the main road in front of the station.
This kappa statue has been installed for over 50 years and is a secret specialty.
The station between Kawawa Station and Kawawaguchi Station is still a single line since opening, so this station also performs the function of passing each other.
Although there are few users, Kawawaguchi Station is an express stop station!

雰囲気がいいです
Quiet and small station
The sea is about a 1-minute walk from the ticket gate (almost in front of you)
Limited express from Nagoya takes less than an hour
The atmosphere is nice
