★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は面足命・惶根命・素戔嗚尊・菅原道真公。創建年代は不詳ですが，明暦3（1657）年の棟札があるためそれ以前となります。当時は第六天神と称されていました。明治6年村社列格。大正2年に借宿村内の無格社である天満・八坂・子安神社を合祀し，現社名とされたそうです。
県道8号小川鉾田線沿い，借宿中央公民館のある交差点に面して，一の鳥居，二の鳥居，そして社殿が鎮座していらっしゃいます。境内もよく掃き清められ，地域の尊崇篤き社であることは明らかです。社前の道路も狭いのですが，なんとなく地図を見ていると鉾田市街から石岡府中への幹線の街道の途中にあるこの辺りは旧・借宿（かりやど）村の中心だったような気がします。
