 A low mountain where you can enjoy a light hike. You can overlook the Suzukawa district of Yamagata city. The stone wall of the site of Yamaga Castle remains near the summit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ たまたまGoogleマップで見つけて初登城しました。Googleに案内させると全く逆の裏山に案内されるのでゴルフ練習場の前が入口となり、数台分の砂利敷きの駐車場があります。
中世山城なのだが普通の山城ですと時代の流れに逆らえず木々や藪にのみ込まれて本丸まで行けないパターンが多いがこちらの城は地元の方が整備してる様で登り易いうえに何重にも張り巡らした郭までも整備されていて在りし日の様子を伺い知る事ができました。
さらに…二の丸の石垣まで現存してるのには驚きました。
I happened to find it on Google Maps and climbed the castle for the first time. If you let Google guide you, you will be guided to the opposite back mountain, so the entrance will be in front of the driving range, and there is a parking lot with gravel for several cars.
Although it is a medieval mountain castle, there are many patterns that can not go to the main enclosure because it is swallowed by trees and bushes without going against the flow of the times, but this castle seems to be maintained by the locals and it is easy to climb and it is many layers I was able to get to know the state of the day when the castle was stretched around.
Furthermore ... I was surprised that even the stone wall of Ninomaru still exists.
