★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大きな墳墓で保存状況も良好です。近くに駐車場とトイレ、展示室があります。中腹にある仏像の首がおとさてしまっているのが残念です。

古墳も周りを含め前よりだいぶ整備されてきました。立派な古墳です‼️墳丘長146m墳丘高さ前方部と後円部とも16mで

七輿山古墳は６世紀前半につくられた三段築成の前方後円墳です。
６世紀代の古墳としては東日本最大級のもので、全長150ｍ、前方部幅115ｍ、後円部径85m、高さは前方部・後円部ともに16mの大きさです。

古墳としても、規模が大きくゆっくり周辺を歩くと良い散歩になります。
隣の七輿ドライブインと併せて楽しませてもらいました。
また、七輿の門という案内所とトイレが一緒になった施設もあり、休憩をするのにもちょうど良い場所でした。
