この辺りは日岡山展望台と言われているようだ。聖徳閣跡の案内版のすぐ横には、展望台に上がる階段がある。日岡山山頂に近いのだろう、案内板のあるところからは、展望台のある建物があって、ここからは眺望を確認することができない。案内板にあった写真を見ると山頂に建つ木造の大きな建物。回りに何も障害物がなく眺望が良さそうだ。案内板によると、建物は、木造に見えるが、鉄筋コンクリート入母屋造瓦葺平屋建。周囲には回廊があったようだ。立派な建物があった。案内板の説明によると、聖徳閣は、昭和１１年７月に、多木化学工業の創始者多木米次郎氏によって建てられたのが始まりのようだ。多木化学工業とは、あまり耳慣れない会社の名前だ。調べると、加古川に本社を構える東証一部上場の会社だ。明治１８年創業の歴史ある会社だ。
