 It takes less than 10 minutes on foot from Itoigawa Station. You can see the Sea of Japan through the underground without crossing National Route 8. You can also see the Noto Peninsula far away. recommendation

波荒い雄大な日本海を望み、振り返れば飛騨山脈の北端である黒姫山をあおぐことができるという、非常に景色のいいポイント。
It takes less than 5 minutes to walk from the station.
It is a very scenic point that you can see the magnificent Sea of Japan with rough waves, and if you look back, you can see Mt. Kurohime, the northern end of the Hida Mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 凪いでいる日本海も良いですね。能登半島はうっすら見えていた様に思いますが、さすがに佐渡島は見えなかったですね〜
The calm Sea of Japan is also good. I think I could see the Noto Peninsula a little, but I couldn't see Sado Island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日本海展望台の道を挟んで反対側の、市庁舎跡とある細長い公園です。海側には奴奈川姫伝説に因んだ銅像と小展望台等もありました。
It is a long and narrow park with the ruins of the city hall on the opposite side of the road from the Sea of Japan Observatory. On the sea side, there was also a statue and a small observatory associated with the legend of Princess Nunakawa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 専用駐車場がないせいもあり、人気は少なめで混雑とは無縁。東屋から見る日本海の眺望は素晴らしい。犬の散歩は禁止されていないが、放し飼いは禁止。目の前の国道は車の流れが早く危険なので、子供や犬から目を離さないように気をつけて。
Due to the lack of a private parking lot, it is less popular and is not crowded. The view of the Sea of Japan from the arbor is wonderful. Walking dogs is not prohibited, but free-range dogs are prohibited. Be careful not to take your eyes off children and dogs as the traffic on the national road in front of you is fast and dangerous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新潟県の糸魚川駅から海に向かい徒歩五分の場所にあります。国道8号を挟んだ向かいにはヒスイ海岸があり、緑がかった海を見る事が出来ます。
It is a 5-minute walk from Itoigawa Station in Niigata Prefecture, facing the sea. Opposite National Highway No. 8, there is a jade coast where you can see the greenish sea.

The Alps and the Sea of Japan are the best. However, going up the frozen stairs after heavy snow was a life-threatening thing (laughs).
