カ	カサマツウオ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山田松香木店に幻のイッカクの角を発見しました！これって本物ですか？凄い！現物は博物館以外では観られない逸品だとおもいますよ。こんなところで見られるなんて！来て良かった。撮影はNGでしたが、レジ前の壁にさりげなく張り付けてますよ！一切宣伝利用されて居ないことが老舗らしい。一見の価値あり。 I found a phantom narwhal horn at the Yamada Matsukagi store! Is this the real thing? amazing! I think the actual product is a gem that can only be seen in museums. You can see it in such a place! Glad you came. The shooting was NG, but I'm casually sticking it on the wall in front of the cash register! It seems that it is a long-established store that it is not used for advertising at all. Worth a look.

R	Rab Davis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to this place 4 times now. It's such a cool and unconventional thing to show your buddies who've never been to Japan. I lived there for over 2 years and every time a friend visited me, I'd bring them here. So this place is a shop really, where people come to drop tons of money of these hand crafted scents and insense made from EXTREMELY rare wood and materials. It's fascinating. But I recommend making an appointment to join in their "Genji game" they do. But, you gotta be able understand Japanese or at least have a Japanese buddy make the reservation and go with you to translate. They explain the art and science of what they do (harvest these rare woods and make this insense) and then they play this kind of game/do a show. It's like going to a tea ceremony, but far less tourist-y. She passes around these five scents and everyone tries to determine which scent is which. It's like a test of how good your sense of smell is. And participating in the game is cheap, it's only like 18 bucks. And it's beautiful and interesting.

Same with Shoyeido. They have a diverse offering of fine incenses that are logically arranged. You will have fun here.
