★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hiking trail leading to it is much better alone. The lighthouse is a good view point, but you won't take nice pictures through the dirty windows on top.

Beautiful natural around.
Parking fee for one time is only 500 jpy and will nee same if you keep tire car there fine the whole day?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They lighthouse has a sign up saying no holidays - yet it’s closed in the name of coronavirus. Sigh. If you’re closed then at least cover the sign which says you are open all year and never closed!!! And we are not even in a quasi-state of emergency anymore. Of course the gift shop remains open because gift shops are immune from coronavirus.
At least the lava rocks and the suspension bridge nearby are good. The gift shop also sells the closest thing I have had to sausage rolls in Japan! Not stopped serving food for coronavirus

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived early in the morning and was able to catch the golden light bathing the steep Narai-Kake cliffs located just below the Kadowaki Lighthouse on the Jogasaki coastline. These cliffs were formed when a lava flow from approx. 4,000 years ago struck the seawater surface and cooled creating columnar joints. Railings allow you to walk out to the edge of the cliffs safely, however, you still need to be careful. Below the lighthouse is a small shop selling souvenirs, snacks, and drinks. If you arrive later in the morning, you can climb to the top of the lighthouse for even a greater panoramic view of the coastline. If you head south of the lighthouse, there is a trail that leads down to a rocky beach. The Pix4Japan YouTube channel has a video of this visit to the Jogasaki Coast.
