夕方の薄暗さも相まって妙高山など景色がとても幻想的。
澄んだ空気と野鳥の囀りなども癒されますね！
 In late October, the autumn leaves are beautiful, although they are still sparse!
Coupled with the dimness of the evening, the scenery such as Mt. Myoko is very fantastic.
The clear air and the singing of wild birds will be healed!

上越のワン友にアテンドされ初訪問です。
この日は、天候がベストコンディションの日で、快晴で暑くもなく寒くもなく。
下越からなので、全く分からない所でしたが、とっても素敵な所でした。
隣のビジターセンターは、外観が完成しており、中が半分くらいの完成かな？

This is my first visit, attended by a friend of Joetsu.
The weather was the best on this day, and it was sunny and neither hot nor cold.
It was from Kaetsu, so I didn't know it at all, but it was a very nice place.
The exterior of the visitor center next door is complete, and the inside is about half complete.

風は穏やかで水面に映る妙高山を見ることが出来ました。
山頂付近には雪が積もっていますが、
紅葉は池周辺までは降りてきていませんでした。

The wind was calm and I could see Mt. Myoko reflected on the surface of the water.
There is snow near the top of the mountain,
The autumn leaves did not come down to the area around the pond.

やはり遅かったか～。
標高が高いだろうから見頃はもう少し早めがいいんだろうな。
１１月１日から１０日位かな。
文化の日（１１月３日）辺りが最高かもね。
I went for autumn leaves ? on November 16th, but it's already the end.
Was it too late?
The altitude will be high, so the best time to see it should be a little earlier.
Maybe from November 1st to 10th.
Culture Day (November 3rd) may be the best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 若干観光地然とはしていますが、バックに妙高山を背負った池は白樺や高原植物と相まって絶妙なロケーションです。
一周５００ｍほどしかないので軽いお散歩にちょうどいいです。
新しいビジターセンターは絶景を一望できるようになっていてトイレもきれい、休憩に立ち寄るにはもってこいです。
Although it looks like a tourist spot, the pond with Mt. Myoko in the background is an exquisite location combined with birch and plateau plants.
It's only about 500m around, so it's perfect for a light walk.
The new visitor center has a spectacular view, the toilets are clean, and it's a great place to stop by for a break.
