Imbe Station

A station on the Ako Line that connects Okayama Station in the center of Okayama City to Aioi Station in Hyogo Prefecture. It is a station in the center of Bizen city, but it is small and not lively. There are many Bizen ware kilns that represent Okayama Prefecture, and Bizen Osafune is one of Japan's representative sword towns (although Osafune is another place name), ICOCA is not supported at the level of manned stations. Midori ticket issuing machines are placed though it is an unmanned station. There is an entrance and exit also in the south side and this is the uncle of Silver at the window. There was a bamboo shop of Bizenyaki, and sightseeing and local businessmen seemed to be using trains so we saw many foreign tourists on the day we visited.

It's a nice place. I entered from Himeji by Pitapa, but I could only use Icoca at this station, so I was a little impatient and charged. If you think about it, it's natural that you can't use Pitapa because it's in the Chugoku region. What should I do with the remaining charge balance ?.

The platforms of each other are connected by an overpass. At the beginning of the opening, it was a platform with two sides and three lines (the down platform is an island type), and there is a one-story station building similar to Bizen-Katakami Station and Iri Station at the current north exit, there is no overpass, and access to the platform crosses the railroad crossing on the premises. Later, one line near the south was removed, and when the south exit with the Imbe Station South Furusato Exchange Center was completed, it became a connecting passage and a bicycle storage area. On the other hand, the north exit was relocated to the first floor of the Bizen-yaki Traditional Industry Center in 1987 (Showa 62). An unmanned station managed by Higashi Okayama Station.
