The deity of god Ijo no Honor
The history is unknown, but it is said that the foundation was built in the first year of the Daido (806), according to the memorial.
Tsumagoi-mura designated historic site "Kumano Shrine Okunoin and Bonjiiwa"
Kumano Shrine is located on Kenashido (the road that connects Kaminshin Ryogoku).
At the south entrance of the approach stairs, the front andesite boulder is a Brahma rock, and the Brahma is carved in the upper part.
The Sanskrit is said to represent Amitabha Sanson (Amitabha Nyorai, Kanzeon Bodhisattva, Seiji Bodhisattva), and two other letters are written.
There is a deep cave that is said to continue to Echigo, just 80 meters up the mountain behind the Kumano Shrine. This is Okunoin.
The Braille character is also engraved on the megalith in it to indicate Dainichi Nyorai.
The above ruins were created by the Tendai Buddhist practitioners between January and April of the Bunpo third year (1319) in the Kamakura era, and are believed to be the marks of training for practicing.

"Okunoin"
According to a story that has been handed down for a long time, it is said that he made a crested ibis out of Kuniyama Takago, the place where chickens were released from this rock hole.
The Sanskrit characters are engraved on the rock wall, but some of the characters are still engraved as the third year of Bunho in the Hojo era of the 95th Hanazono.
The pedestal trained by the examinees remains in the center of the rock.

The "Kenashido" route that goes back through the Manza River and goes through Kamenkai was important as a road that connects the areas of Joshu and Shinshu.
It is probable that the Kadoko had been functioning as a base village on the Joshu side. In addition, we were refraining from sacred grounds such as Mt. Azuma (Mt. Shia) and Mt.
It is believed that the Yamabushi training base was set up there, and that the Kumano Shrine was eventually separated.
The Sanskrit characters engraved on the remains of the cave behind the shrine and the megalith at the entrance tell the story of its rise.

Gunma Prefecture's designated natural monument "Naruo's Kumano Shrine Daisugi"
According to an oral memorial, "Large Sugi" in the precincts of Kumano Shrine is said to have grown upside down when its staff used a cane that was used when Kobo Daishi Kukai (774-865) visited this area. It is a huge tree with a tree age of more than 1100 years.
Daisugi is located in the Kumano Shrine of the Kumano worship that was popular during the Heian period, and the rock caves 80m up from the cedar and Oiwa under the cedar were used by religious practitioners as a place of worship. It is a place.
The lower road is Maenashi in the Edo period, and it is a route where goods were frequently passed between Kaminshin Ryoshu along with Manza Pass in the Middle Ages.
