I visited during the fall foliage season, but it was nice to see the garden built by the samurai from the room. Compared to the garden of the Australian Farm House, it was healed with a feeling of wabi and loneliness. You can also get admission fee for free! I think it's a good idea to go sightseeing with the former Niigata prefectural governor's office!

We were able to visit with the former prefectural governor's office. "Hmm? Just that that building? "If you think ..." the person in charge explains carefully, what kind of building is that building? If you know the wonders of Shinbata, ️ '' Surprised There are lots of maples and 300-year-old pine trees around, and there is a wonderful maple. There is a maple that changes color gradually. ✨ Today it was still green, but I want to see it again if it turns red And the smell of burning charcoal when I went near the building ... The person in charge was burning charcoal in the hearth in the room next to the entrance. It seems to burn smoke to protect the thatch and the timber of the building, and it seems to be a daily work even in midsummer.

Admission is free. It is said that the beginning of Fifty Kono Ochaya was the idea of the construction of the castle and the management of the area with the temporary residence in the area of Fifty commons which was the arrival site when the first lord Shuji Mizoguchi Hidekatsu entered the Shibata Ringo. After that, the third generation lord Nainao took up a separate residence in this area, and when the fourth generation lord Shigeo was in the Shogunate tea ceremony, he invited Enshu-style tea person Zen Soichi to create a garden and made the separate residence a tea dormitory. The successive lords rested here on the way back to work in Edo, and set up their travel suits, and usually opened to teastakers and held tea parties. Ocha-ya is a sophisticated Sukiya-style building, and generally has a thin, simple and delicate wood pattern. The two summer rooms have been voluntarily built for liberty and to fully appreciate the garden. The trees in the garden are said to be planted by seedling plants from famous places in various countries, and the ponds are said to be shaped like the word "heart". It is a pond fountain play garden. Recognized as "Daimaku garden representing Echigo, which is built under the instruction of Zen Buddhism in the same Shogunate, and with different quaint gardens well preserved", August 27, 2003 It was designated as a nationally designated scenic spot as "Old Shibata Shimoshitanji (Shimizudani Goten) Garden and Fifty Public No Chaya Garden" on a date.

It is a quaint thatched building that makes you feel the weight of history. Now it looks like a building in a park in a residential area, but in the past, until the first Shibata feudal lord, Hidekatsu Mizoguchi maintained and renovated Shibata Castle, he lived here, and later successive Shibata feudal lords took part. This is a historical place that you must stop by for preparation. Nevertheless, it is nice to be well maintained and free to enter. We want you to observe manners when you visit and use it.

A villa where the Shibata domain stopped by every time the attendance was changed. The view from the tatami room is wonderful as it is designated as a national scenic spot!

The autumn leaves were beautiful. There was an arbor in the pond and it was a quiet space. It's a pity that it wasn't barrier-free.

I was healed by the garden seen from the former governor's office, so when I went around, the times changed completely and something like a mansion with a thatched roof appeared. It is a moist and healing place. Why is it attractive even though it is not luxurious and the glitz of tourism is not? The quiet self-assertion is also good ~. I was able to see it for free, and it was a good memory that the guard explained it and that I was healed by the bonfire for thatched roof. It was a nice day to experience the warmth of people. Thank you very much.

You have such a wonderful place in your own country! Moth The garden from the inside of the teahouse is in good condition. I feel the color of the wood that was beaten by firewood, the furnace, the history. Since a thatched roof is also in existence, and there are only a few craftsmen with thatched roof even in the country, I hope that they should be maintained as much as possible.
